Garage conversion and staircase remodelling

Conversion of garage to provide a new garden facing family room and staircase remodelling.

These clients wanted to convert their existing garage into a bright, open and spacious playroom for their young grandchildren. Our designs along with their great eye for detail culminated in a light and comfortable space with amazing views into the garden through a large format picture window. The rooflights are designed into the space with a vaulted section of ceiling, framed with oak rafters.

The clients also wanted to replace their stair to not only make it more usable, but accentuate the design features of the house. The steep, spiraling staircase was removed and a beautiful handmade wooden stair with inset lighting replaced it. The stair also showcases the hexagonal stained glass window overlooking the front garden of the house.
